65 Inch 4K Waterproof LCD Monitor for Kiosks

This 65-inch outdoor signage platform combines a UHD display core, configurable luminance and a sealed-enclosure route for public kiosk projects.

Product Summary

The 4K Waterproof LCD Monitor for Kiosks is designed for public information, transit, retail and unattended signage systems that need UHD content and outdoor protection. Its 3840 × 2160 pixel structure provides a detailed 16:9 canvas for timetables, maps, instructions, advertising and service messages. The 1428.48 × 803.52 mm active area supports content placement and front-window planning.

The display core uses an a-Si TFT-LCD structure with ADS normally black transmissive operation. It is specified with 89°/89°/89°/89° viewing angles, 1.07 billion colors, 72% NTSC coverage and an anti-glare surface with 1% haze and 3H hard coating.

A 51-pin V-by-One connector does not guarantee compatibility with another 51-pin display.

A configurable 1000–5000 cd/m² range must be converted into one approved production luminance before power, thermal and optical release.

An IP65 claim applies to the approved enclosure configuration, not to an unsealed display core by itself.

4K Content and Optical Planning

Prepare Native UHD Content

Use a native 3840 × 2160 path from the media player or controller. Confirm that the scaler and cabling support the intended frame rate and color path. For transit information, route names, platform numbers and safety notices need sufficient character height, contrast and dwell time for viewers who may only glance at the screen.

Select One Production Luminance

The 1000–5000 cd/m² range represents configurable versions, not simultaneous output. Select one target using ambient light, orientation, sun exposure, front-glass transmission, operating schedule and cooling capacity. Lock the nominal value, tolerance, measurement point and dimming method in the purchase specification.

Higher luminance can increase power and heat, so test the selected version inside the final housing under representative daytime conditions.

Qualify Reflections and Front Protection

The panel surface is anti-glare with 1% haze and 3H hard coating. Tempered glass, anti-reflective treatment, optical bonding or an air gap can change transmission and reflections. Evaluate the complete optical stack with dark content, white backgrounds, small text and off-axis viewing.

Integrating the 4K Waterproof LCD Monitor for Kiosks

Separate V-by-One from System Inputs

The display core uses an eight-lane, 51-pin V-by-One interface. HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA or DVI are system-level inputs that require an approved controller. Request native timing, the complete pin assignment, lane mapping, connector orientation and controller-board model. Prototype with the intended cable before releasing the harness.

Separate Panel and Finished-System Power

The 12.0 V value applies to the display core. It does not define panel current, backlight power, enclosure input voltage or cooling loads. Obtain the ordered power architecture, including panel current, backlight voltage/current, enable and dimming signals, controller consumption and protection devices.

Confirm Refresh-Rate Configuration

The technical table includes 60 Hz and several 120 Hz or 240 Hz modes associated with MEMC or panel/backlight configurations. Use 60 Hz as the base value unless the ordered configuration documents a higher mode. Validate scrolling messages and video using the final controller and content.

IP65 Enclosure and Outdoor Qualification

Verify the Waterproof Boundary

The monitor is positioned with an IP65 waterproof and dustproof enclosure. Request the certificate or test report for the exact configuration and permitted mounting orientation. Cable glands, doors, vents, speakers and added interfaces can change the protection boundary.

Validate Solar Load and Thermal Management

Outdoor qualification must include solar loading, internal temperature, heat rejection and continuous-duty behavior. Record screen orientation, peak ambient temperature, direct-sun duration, wall clearance and operating hours. Confirm whether the approved product uses passive dissipation, fans, heaters or another thermal method.

Plan Mounting and Service Access

The screen/module weighs 18.9 kg typical, while the complete system will be heavier after the enclosure, glass and electronics are added. Use the finished-system weight and drawing for structural release. Confirm the VESA or custom hole pattern, fastener depth and access for controller replacement and sealing inspection.

Application Fit

Transit and Public Information

The display format suits bus stops, subway stations, train terminals, public service boards and smart-city information points. UHD resolution supports detailed maps and multi-zone layouts, while the selected luminance addresses bright public locations.

EV Charging, Fuel and Retail Kiosks

The 4K Waterproof LCD Monitor for Kiosks can support EV charging information, fuel-station media, storefront advertising and unattended public messaging. The standard technical configuration is non-touch, so interactive deployments require a separately approved touch, glass and controller stack.

Configuration Options

Project review may cover the fixed luminance version, enclosure sealing, protective glass, anti-reflective treatment, optical bonding, controller board, external inputs, Android or PC architecture, network options, ambient-light control, touch development, mounting, thermal management, branding and packaging.

Custom configurations are generally reviewed from 500 pieces, subject to tooling, material availability and the requested specification. Samples and standard-display quantities are confirmed separately.

Procurement Checklist

  • Confirm the assigned model and supplier revision.
  • Fix one luminance value within 1000–5000 cd/m².
  • Provide native 3840 × 2160 timing and target refresh rate.
  • Obtain the complete eight-lane, 51-pin V-by-One definition.
  • Confirm the controller board and external ports.
  • Define panel, backlight and system power requirements.
  • Request the full enclosure drawing, weight and mounting pattern.
  • Confirm IP65 evidence and sealing boundaries.
  • Define glass, coating, bonding and touch requirements.
  • Validate solar load, temperature and operating schedule.
  • State sample criteria, quantity and annual demand.

Application Scenarios

FAQ

About 65 Inch 4K Waterproof LCD Monitor

What must be checked before connecting a 51-pin V-by-One controller?

Confirm native timing, eight-lane mapping, connector orientation, supply pins, grounds and cable specification. A matching pin count does not establish electrical or timing compatibility. Submit the controller model, schematic and cable drawing before sample power-on.

How should the luminance version be selected?

Measure ambient light and define orientation, front glass and operating hours. The 1000–5000 cd/m² range includes different configurations. Test the selected version in the final enclosure because glass transmission, reflections and internal temperature affect performance.

What evidence is needed for an IP65 installation?

Request the certificate for the exact enclosure, cable entries, service doors and mounting orientation. IP65 can be compromised by added connectors, drilled holes or unapproved brackets. The installation must preserve the tested sealing boundary.

When should the non-touch configuration be selected?

Use non-touch for advertising, timetables, route maps and passive public information. It avoids adding a sensor, controller and thicker front stack. Interactive kiosks require separate touch, bonding, glass and interface qualification.

What must be confirmed before specifying a higher refresh mode?

Request the input timing, MEMC behavior, controller compatibility and latency for the ordered mode. The table references 120 Hz and 240 Hz configurations, but 60 Hz remains the safe base value until a higher mode is documented and tested.
