Model-Grade Conflict Control

The 86-inch product family includes separate 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500 and 5000 cd/m² versions. The selected configuration is the 5000 cd/m² grade. Procurement documents should therefore identify one fixed luminance, tolerance and measurement method rather than describing the module as continuously adjustable across the family range.

An approved order-specific datasheet should resolve the page’s conflicting hero summary, which mentions 2000 nits even though the exact model table assigns 5000 nits to the selected grade.

Finished-System Readability

Panel luminance alone does not release a finished sunlight-readability claim. Cover-glass reflection, air gaps, optical bonding, surface coatings, viewing angle and the displayed UI affect usable contrast. Optical bonding can reduce internal reflections by removing the air gap between the LCD and cover glass.

The final assembly should be tested with the actual cover window, enclosure angle, operating content and site lighting. A high-brightness panel also increases thermal demand, particularly when direct sunlight adds solar load to the heat generated by the backlight.

UHD Content and IPS Viewing Performance

Native 4K Content

The 3840 × 2160 raster supports detailed advertising graphics, transport information, maps, schedules and large public-information layouts. Content should be authored at the native resolution to avoid unnecessary scaling and to preserve line, icon and text clarity.

At 86 inches, the 51 PPI density is intended for large viewing distances rather than close-range desktop use. Font height, contrast and information density should therefore be tested at the planned installation distance.

Wide-Angle Viewing

IPS normally-black transmissive operation and the listed 89° left, right, up and down viewing data support installations where people approach from different directions. The 1200:1 typical contrast ratio and anti-glare surface provide a useful optical base, but the final cover glass can change reflection and perceived contrast.

Verify the 56-Pin V-by-One Path

The panel uses an eight-lane V-by-One interface through a 56-pin connector. A matching connector does not establish compatibility by itself. The controller, cable and panel must agree on lane mapping, timing, link rate, voltage, connector orientation and pin assignment.

HDMI, DisplayPort, USB and media-player inputs are not native panel interfaces. A compatible controller board is required when the finished signage system must accept those inputs.

Separate Panel and System Power

The listed 12.0 V value is the panel supply, not the input voltage or total power of a completed outdoor-signage system. Backlight voltage, current, enable, dimming behavior and driver scope must be confirmed from the approved electrical document.

The standard refresh is 60 Hz. The listed 120 Hz and 240 Hz wording is associated with processing or configuration modes based on a 60 Hz input, so it should not be converted into a native-refresh claim without configuration-specific evidence.

Active Versus Viewable Area

The 1895.04 × 1065.96 mm active area defines the pixel region. The 1897.0 × 1068.0 mm viewable area defines the required front opening. These measurements do not replace the complete module-outline drawing.

Mounting Load and Missing Outline

The panel weighs 34.1 kg typically and 35.8 kg at the listed maximum. This is the module mass, not the finished enclosure load. Cover glass, touch, frame, cooling hardware, controller, power supply and mounting components increase the final weight.

The complete outline, fixing points, rear clearances, connector location and handling instructions must be approved before a frame or wall structure is released.

Solar Load and Temperature

The operating range is −20°C to +70°C and the storage range is −30°C to +80°C. These component limits do not establish an enclosure’s waterproof, dustproof, corrosion or impact grade. What must be checked before connecting a 56-pin V-by-One controller?

Verify the complete pin assignment, eight-lane mapping, link rate, native 3840 × 2160 timing, voltage levels, cable construction and connector orientation. A controller designed for another 56-pin panel may use different electrical or lane definitions and should not be connected solely because the connector fits.

Does 5000 cd/m² guarantee outdoor readability behind cover glass?

No. The finished result depends on cover-glass transmission, reflection, air gaps, bonding, surface coatings, installation angle and displayed content. Validate the actual optical stack under direct sun, bright sky reflection, shade and nighttime conditions before approving the finished-system claim.

Are 120 Hz and 240 Hz native panel refresh rates?

Not from the available configuration data. The standard value is 60 Hz, while the higher figures are associated with MEMC or modes derived from 60 Hz input. Use 60 Hz for controller release unless an approved configuration-specific document establishes another native timing.

Does interactive-whiteboard use mean touch is included?

No. The standard configuration is non-touch. A whiteboard system requires a separate touch sensor, controller, interface, cover structure and mechanical integration plan. Touch must be qualified independently from the V-by-One display path.
