What must be checked before connecting an LVDS host?

The complete timing, voltage and connector definition must be checked. Matching 1024 × 768 resolution is not sufficient. Confirm the LVDS channel format, bit mapping, pair assignment, clock polarity, panel voltage, enable signals and backlight drive before applying power.

Why are LVDS and USB listed as separate interfaces?
