The assembly combines the TFT display and capacitive-touch front structure, but display signaling, touch communication and backlight power remain separate engineering functions. Each path must be matched to the intended controller before PCB or enclosure release.

What must be checked before replacing another 40-pin LVDS panel?

Verify the complete pin assignment, LVDS mapping, voltage domains, timing, connector pitch, contact side and FPC orientation. The new panel uses a 1024 × 600 format and a 40-pin structure, but those facts do not make it interchangeable with another 40-pin display. Mechanical fit must also be checked against the 252.00 × 155.50 × 6.85 mm touch assembly.

Does the LVDS connection also carry capacitive-touch data?

No. LVDS is the image-data path, while capacitive touch requires a separate controller and control interface.
